About Coop's Cottage...
Located 3.5 miles west of Mackinaw City, Michigan, Coop’s Cottage is located on picturesque Trail's End Bay, on the Lake Michigan shoreline.
Built in 1992, the cottage has three bedrooms, 2 full baths, and a great room/dining room, full kitchen, laundry and upstairs loft with an amazing view of Lake Michigan and the Straits of Mackinac. The private beachfront offers great swimming, and the bay is shallow and a great refreshing place for all ages to enjoy.
The cottage is comfortable and well-appointed. We have DirecTV and a Bose AM/FM radio/CD player that is Bluetooth ready. The kitchen contains all new appliances including dishwasher and microwave. Keurig and drip coffee makers, toaster, griddle, slow cooker, and blender. A Weber Gas grill is also available on the spacious lakeside deck. We provide all bedding and towels, including beach towels. Coop's Cottage is equipped with games, books, puzzles, beach games and toys, 6 kayaks, 4 bikes and a canoe.
Mackinaw City is a short bike ride or drive away, offering a wide variety of restaurants, shopping and activities. Mackinac Island is a short ferry ride away, offering a unique “yesteryear experience”. The Mackinac Bridge, St. Ignace and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula are all 15 minutes or less away.
Activities include hiking, biking, swimming, kayaking, canoeing and enjoying the outdoors. Many golf courses are within a short drive. Many children’s activities are available in town, including mini-golf. Attractions include Colonial Fort Michilimackinac, Historic Mill Creek Discovery Park, Headlands International Dark Sky Park, Heritage Village and museums for the Mackinac Bridge, US Coast Guard Icebreaker Mackinac and multiple area lighthouses.
Mackinaw City offers a movie theater and frequent outdoor concerts. Art fairs, cultural exhibits and parades are common around the holidays.
